Phentermine is a potent prescription stimulant that is supposed to be taken by people who need help losing excessive weight that can be a reason of many health conditions, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Your health care provider needs to know if you are currently taking any other drugs that may potentially affect your treatment. Less serious side effects are more likely and include nervousness, dry mouth, headache, dizziness, diarrhea, constipation, tremors, itching, and insomnia. Make sure you never take more of phentermine to avoid an overdose. If you have taken too much of it and have such symptoms as stomach pain, fainting, confusion, restlessness, diarrhea, hallucinations, seizure, nausea, or lightheadedness, seek emergency medical help.
